Turning the Pages Together: A Lifelong Reader’s Guide to Essential Reading Essays

Writing about books is many times rarely about the books themselves.

Rather, it’s about the quiet transformation that occurs in the space between the page and the reader. For many years on 27gen, I have explored books not merely as objects on a shelf, but as engines of continuous learning, tools for leadership, and companions through the various seasons of life.

During my elementary school years one of the things I looked forward to the most was the delivery of “My Weekly Reader,” a weekly educational magazine designed for children and containing news-based current events.

It became a regular part of my love for reading, and helped develop my curiosity about the world around us.
